Qualifications

• The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 4 provides extensive support to staff pharmacists and helps guide the daily pharmacy operation.
• This position authenticates the work performed by other technicians, vaccinators, and/or lead technicians.
• Become proficient in required and continuous learning for the advanced role, including the advanced use and maintenance of associated electronic/automated systems, and any necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile non-sterile compounding.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Assumes primary responsibility for advanced level tasks, functions or an area of specialty, to include telepharmacy, investigation programs, diversion/regulatory programs, medication history collection, and revenue cycle management; authenticates the work performed by other technicians, vaccinators, and/or lead technicians.
