# Inpatient Pharmacy PanagerApply**Job#: 3052505****Job Description:**Job Description SummaryThe Charleston Division Pharmacy Manager report directly to the Charleston Division Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services and are responsible and accountable for direct oversight, planning, and coordination of inpatient pharmacy for the Charleston Division. These managers oversee and provide leadership for all inpatient pharmacy activities at the Charleston Division Hospitals (Institute of Psychiatry, Ashley River Tower, University Hospital, and Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital) and will manage multiple professional and support staff. The Pharmacy Clinical Managers will plan, organize, facilitate, monitor and evaluate activities, functions and initiatives of the department and organization. They will also collaborate with other leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance workflows, increase productivity and improve quality outcomes and operational efficiencies within the Charleston Division.POSITION RESPONSIBILITESLeadership:o Operational oversight of the Inpatient Pharmacy areas.o Represents the Pharmacy ICCE in work groups and committees as requested.o Provide hands-on leadership and operational improvement subject matter expertise to division specific projects and operational improvement teams.o Ensure alignment to operational plans and strategic priorities.o Responsible for selecting, developing, and deploying staff in the most effective manner to meet assigned objectives.o Demonstrate high influence, motivates, and pushes others to succeed in the organizations vision, mission, and goals.o Instill a culture of continual, real-time feedback that integrates with professional development framework.Strategy/Financial:o In collaboration with the Pharmacy ICCE Leadership Team and other departments across MUSC Health Charleston Division, assist with projects and initiatives to further the strategic mission and goals of MUSC Health.o Communicate and guide teams to meet the overall strategic intent.o Provide oversight of budget and variances for areas of responsibilities.o Coach leaders on fiscal responsibility.o Establish processes to improve efficiencies and drive financial improvement.o Identify resource needs and obtain appropriate funding/approvals.o Prepare departmental budget and reviews monthly for areas for improvement.o Assist in the development of business plans, Pro Formas, and budgets for assigned projects in conjunction with other project teams.Quality and Service:o Assess staffing across areas of responsibility to ensure alignment with national benchmarks and needs.o Ensure optimal care team member, provider, and patient experience.o Develop strategies to ensure standardization of patient and provider experiences across all areas of responsibility.o Round with the purpose of identifying opportunities and removing barriers.o Collaborate to ensure highest level of quality, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.o Ensure an environment for creating an exceptionally reliable organization.Operational Performance:o Optimize operations across areas of responsibility.o Develop and implement strategies to ensure adequate space utilization.o Ensure standardization of operations across division.o Establish and maintain operational excellence across division.o Partner with leadership across various departments to ensure smooth patient flow by implementing best practices and operational improvements.o Create a culture where process improvement is encouraged and supported.Professional Development:o Identify top talent and provide opportunities for growth and development.o Mentor/coach/support leaders and care team members and support their professional growth and development.o Identify gaps and develop plans for gap closure.o Mentor leaders to perform at the top of their ability.o Seek own professional development.Communication/Collaboration:o Create an inclusive environment that supports and respects diversity to promote creative problem solving.o Build and manage diverse teams to deliver expected outcomes.o Collaborate with other departments/functional groups/leaders to engage additional resources and subject matter experts to complete projects and initiatives. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
