Magee Resource Group is partnering with a not-for-profit health system in the Midwest to recruit a Manager of Inpatient Pharmacy to lead and oversee hospital pharmacy operations. This role blends leadership with direct operational expertise, ensuring the pharmacy runs smoothly while developing a team of self-sufficient leaders who can operate independently when the Manager is off-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day hospital pharmacy operations, including central pharmacy workflow, clean room, compounding, hazardous drugs, and order sets.
• Manage and develop staff including clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, coordinators, and buyers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Track KPIs, manage drug shortages, and serve as the subject-matter expert for dispensing systems.
• Build a self-sufficient team capable of handling operations independently when the Manager is off-site.

This role blends leadership with direct operational expertise, ensuring the pharmacy runs smoothly while developing a team of self-sufficient leaders.
