Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager to lead daily pharmacy operations and deliver patient-centered care within a trusted health system. The role is full-time and emphasizes leadership, policy approval, budget oversight, staff recruitment and training, and close collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team to ensure compliance and high-quality service.

The position also supports education and research in pharmacy practice and ongoing development

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or equivalent with residency/fellowship or demonstrated equivalent achievement.
• Demonstrated leadership in coordinating activities to develop improved pharmacy services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for dissemination of information.
• Knowledge of progressive pharmacy practice.
• Reliable and dependable with willingness to take additional responsibility.
• Experience working with pharmacy students and staff education.
• Research completed showing originality suitable for publication.

Responsibilities

• Approves policies and procedures for services in the area of responsibility.
• Designs and layouts facilities to support services.
• Integrates operational and clinical services with leadership team.
• Reviews services for regulatory compliance and standards.
• Establishes budgetary controls and analyzes fiscal performance.
• Recruits, hires, and trains new staff.
• Provides ongoing staff training and supervision.
• Assists in IT system design and enhancements.
• Supports training programs for Pharm.D. students and residents.
• Coordinates activities with external educators.
• Supports pharmaceutical research environment.
