Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a visionary leader to direct the pharmacy services of a major regional health system as Director of Pharmacy at a prominent 772-bed Level II Trauma Center in Tallahassee, FL. This executive role offers a base salary of $205,000–$220,000, plus a $10,000 sign-on, and eligibility for an annual bonus.

You will oversee a diverse operation of more than 100 staff, including six direct reports, ensuring safe inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy services 24/7.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Pharmacist License and Consultant Pharmacist License or a clear path to obtain both promptly (mandatory).
• Minimum of three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
• At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• PharmD degree strongly preferred.
• Board certification and completion of a pharmacy residency program are advantageous.
• Experience overseeing large pharmacy teams and sterile compounding operations is preferred.
• Prior leadership experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and ops management for inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory control.
• Lead and mentor a team comprising six managers and assistant directors across various pharmacy service lines.
• Oversee 24/7 pharmacy operations to ensure compliance, safety, and optimal patient care.
• Collaborate with hospital C-suite executives and clinical leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
• Maintain standards in sterile compounding and support trauma center pharmacy requirements within a high-acuity environment.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain active licensure credentials required by state and professional bodies.
