Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacoeconomics, and medication therapy management.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Conduct medication therapy management to assess, monitor, and optimize patient medication regimens.
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and adherence strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust treatment plans based on clinical evidence and patient needs.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, storage, and proper handling of medications.
• Administer immunizations and educate patients on vaccine benefits and schedules.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Stay current with advancements in pharmacoeconomics, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit management to inform practice.
• Ensure compliance with hospital, retail, or clinical pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.
