Job description

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for dispensing prescriptions and monitoring patient drug therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards. This responsibility includes activities inclusive of, but not limited to, medication order/prescription dispensing, IV admixture and sterile compounding capabilities, monitoring of patient medication therapies, counseling patients, documenting interventions, providing drug information and supervising support personnel.

• Pyxis Enterprise System
• Pharmogistics carousel and perpetual inventory systems
• Pharmacy Keeper Remote Verification video check/documentation system.
• Alaris Infusion System: LVP, Syringe, Epidural and PCA-ETCO2 and SPO2 monitoring modules
• Grifols USP 797/800 clean rooms in Inpatient and in the Cancer Center Infusion Satellite Pharmacy
• Swisslog Pneumatic Tube System

Required Skills and Minimum Years of Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist (nightshift experience preferred)
• Required IV admixture and sterile compounding certificates.

Licensures and Certifications/Registrations Required

• Active license and in good standing as a pharmacist in the state of Arizona.

Shift or Schedule Requirements

• Prefer: Night shift (7 on 7 off Thur-Wed) preferred; will be sole pharmacist for night shift and work with 1 night shift technician.
• If not working night shift, assignment will be rotating shifts between 6AM - 10PM with every other weekend.
