Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist for full-time day, evening, and night flex shifts at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. The role requires accurate transcription, dispensing, and monitoring of medications, with clinical support to nursing and providers.

Profound knowledge of IV preparations, drug interactions, and a patient-centered approach is essential. NY licensure and ACPE-approved education are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with either a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Health system pharmacy experience preferred.
• Currently licensed in the State of New York.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes medication orders to computerized patient profiles accurately.
• Prepares and dispenses medications, including sterile IV preparations.
• Monitors meds for interactions, allergies and dosing appropriateness.
• Provides clinical consultation to nursing and provider staff and supports safe therapy.
