Job summary

OU Health is seeking a De-Centralized Pharmacist for full-time 10‑hour shifts in Oklahoma City. The role covers inpatient operations, sterile and non‑sterile compounding, dispensing, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safe, effective medication use.

Responsibilities include order verification, drug information for staff, and participation in IDS studies when applicable; licensure in Oklahoma is required, with up to 90 days to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (D.Ph.) from an ACPE-accredited college.
• Oklahoma Pharmacist License required; must obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
• No specific prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and process medication orders for appropriateness and dosing.
• Compound, prepare, and dispense medications per USP/state/federal rules.
• Ensure sterile product preparation and IV admixtures are safe.
• Provide drug information and counseling to nurses, providers, and patients.
• Participate in medication reconciliation and rounds; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support IDS/pharmacy drug studies; maintain accountability records.
• Assist with inventory, distribution, and high-alert medication checks.
