Job summary

Phoenix Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient Nephrology service in Phoenix. This Advanced Practice Provider will support the growing inpatient nephrology program, working with a nationally recognized multidisciplinary team to care for infants, children and adolescents with complex kidney conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nephrology care in collaboration with pediatric nephrologists
• Evaluate, diagnose and manage kidney-related disorders in hospitalized children
• Support pediatric patients requiring dialysis and CKRT
• Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient units
• Participate in daily rounds, discharge planning and patient/family education
• Assist with quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Contribute to a collaborative teaching environment
