Job summary

Midlands Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Elgin, SC, part of Ernest Health, Inc., is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) for a full-time role. The position focuses on rehabilitation after strokes, spinal injuries, orthopedic injuries, and other conditions, with a team delivering PT/OT/SLT as part of comprehensive care.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, guiding them through daily activities, and selecting adaptive equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current State Occupational Therapist License.
• CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and helps improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities.
• Teaches patients to perform daily living and work tasks to compensate for impairments.
• Assists patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice.

Education

Graduate Degree in Occupational Therapy

Current State Occupational Therapist License

CPR / Basic Life Support

One year of rehab hospital patient care experience (preferred)
