Job summary

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, coordinate patient flow and records, educate patients and families, and serve as liaison with care teams. Expect exposure to variable schedules and a commitment to exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments and interventions.
• Educates patients and family on condition, diet, medications and adherence to schedules.
• Ensures patient safety and coordinates referrals to other services.
• Maintains accurate patient records.
• Functions as a preceptor per UMMC guidelines.
• Participates in nursing councils or committees to improve care.
