Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio, TX seeks an Occupational Therapist for Inpatient Rehab to help patients regain independence after illness or injury. You will assess needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on, evidence-based therapy in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy requirement.
• OT license issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• Prefer 1+ year experience in inpatient OT setting.
• BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and developing individualized therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering evidence-based interventions to promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting plans; ensuring timely documentation of outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement in recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and excellent patient experiences.
• Leading by example and mentoring therapy assistants or students.
