Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate level Occupational Therapy Program
• Current NYS Occupational Therapy License
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Must complete yearly mandatory safety trainings and e-learning courses

Responsibilities

• Clinical Decision-Making: completes chart review and determines OT appropriateness with a person-centered plan
• Communication: educates patients and families and communicates needs to the interdisciplinary team
• Safety: identifies contraindications and ensures safe patient handling
• Patient Management: progresses interventions and documents decisions clearly
• Discharge Planning: assesses context and prepares post-discharge needs and equipment
