El Paso Rehabilitation Hospital, a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility owned by Lifepoint Rehabilitation, seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join an interdisciplinary team in El Paso County. Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients under supervision as indicated.
• Assesses patients' needs and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions with the team.
• Observes and evaluates treatment progress; communicates with physician as needed.
• Performs assessments and timely quality-improvement scoring for adults and geriatrics.
• Assesses pain affecting function and coordinates interventions and physician contact.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in a safe environment to minimize errors.
• Other duties as assigned.
