Job summary

Westerly Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support inpatient care across nursing units. You will assist with safe patient transport by wheelchair or stretcher, document services, and serve as an Observer when needed to maximize patient safety.

The role requires a High School graduate, a current RI Nursing Assistant License and Basic Life Support certification; prior hospital or nursing home experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Current RI Nursing Assistant License and Basic Life Support certification.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists direct patient care under supervision and according to standards of practice.
• Provides safe patient transport by wheelchair or stretcher and documents services.
• Acts as an Observer for patients needing constant observation to maximize safety.
• Delivers courteous, professional service to patients and families, upholding patient-centered care.
