Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross required.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in procedural settings to ensure quality of care.
• Anticipate and resolve patient care issues.
• Ensure continuity of patient care through effective communication among department staff and other departments.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluation of nurses and other care providers on unit/area.
• Counsel employees on performance issues and participate in corrective actions.
• Monitor adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
• Assist in orienting new personnel and continuing education programs.
