The Pharmacist is an exciting professional opportunity at MultiCare, ensuring prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care services for patients, nurses and physicians. This position will offer you the capacity to apply your knowledge and expertise toward supporting quality health services and patient care.

It features an inpatient night shift on a fixed 7 nights on and 7 nights off rotation, with on-site BLS/ACLS/PALS certification support and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
  • Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum one year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital, retail, clinic or similar setting.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and interpret IV orders, prepare primary IV/solutions.
  • Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain records.
  • Supervise support personnel and perform final check of completed work.
  • Assist in inspecting pharmaceutical supplies across services.
  • Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services.

The Inpatient Night Pharmacist position supports hospital pharmacy operations overnight on a fixed 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. The Inpatient Night Pharmacist shares coverage with other pharmacist team members for a significant portion of the shift and is supported by a strong core technician team. In addition to providing medication verification and dispensing services, the Inpatient Night Pharmacist serves as a drug information expert supporting providers and nurses on a care team. Onsite BLS, ACLS and PALS certification provided. Sign on bonus $10,000 available to qualified candidates. FTE: 1.0, Shift: Fixed, Schedule: 7 nights on and 7 nights off staffing rotation.

Responsibilities
  • You will dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions
  • You will manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records
  • You will supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work
  • You will assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services
  • You will provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service
Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred in setting appropriate to work assignment (hospital, retail, clinic or other)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $68.30 - $91.78 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
