Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Mental Health Technician (PRN) to support patient care across all ages under treatment teams. The role focuses on direct care, group facilitation, and helping patients engage in active treatment and daily living activities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in human services or a high school diploma with two years in the field; PRN status means as-needed shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: psychology, sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy.
• OR
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus 2 years of experience in human service field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct care and management of patients across all age ranges with medical and behavioral issues as directed by treatment team.
• Assist with unit programming by facilitating and conducting groups and ensuring patients are engaged in active treatment at all times.
• Assist with daily leisure activities, and all activities associated with daily living within the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patients level of growth and development.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human services (psychology, sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy)

High School Diploma or GED + 2 years of human services experience
