Job summary

Team Recovery LLC seeks a dedicated nurse (LPN/RN) to provide comprehensive care for clients undergoing substance use treatment. You will monitor health, administer medications, educate on detox and relapse prevention, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Qualified candidates hold an Ohio-licensed LPN or RN, BLS certification, and at least one year of recovery/behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

  • Must hold LPN or RN credential and be licensed in Ohio.
  • BLS certification required; training provided on hire.
  • 1+ year experience in recovery and/or behavioral health.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The primary nursing responsibilities would involve providing care and support to clients who are undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. The role of the nurse is crucial in helping clients through the detoxification and recovery process while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Monitoring:
    • Monitor and assess client health conditions, including withdrawal symptoms, physical and mental well-being.
    • Assist with managing and monitoring clients during the detoxification process, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Medication Administration:
    • Administer medications as prescribed by medical providers in an inpatient setting.
  • Client Education:
    • Provide education to clients regarding medication management, detoxification processes, relapse prevention and recovery strategies.
  • Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team
    • work with medical providers, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Crisis Intervention:
    • Respond to emergencies and crises within the facility, such as code blue, overdose situations, or clients experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms.
    • Provide immediate medical care and interventions to stabilize clients and ensure their safety.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including client assessments, medication administration records, and progress notes.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.
  • Support for Clients and Families:
    • Offer emotional support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the recovery process.
    • Help clients develop coping skills, set goals for recovery, and navigate challenges they may face during treatment.
  • Advocacy and Referrals:
    • Act as a client advocate, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, and that their dignity and privacy are respected.
  • Quality Improvement and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in addiction and mental health treatment.
    • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patients.
  • Other
    • Other duties as assigned within the medical/nursing department.
Education Requirements:

Completion of LPN or RN program required, certificate or diploma is required.

License Requirements:
  • Valid LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio.
  • BLS certification required, will train upon hire.
Experience Requirements:
  • 1 or more years of experience in recovery and/or behavioral health.
