Responsibilities

• Participates in ongoing assessments within 1–2 hours of unit report.
• Develops and updates nursing care plans.
• Implements care per physician orders and care plans.
• Communicates assessment findings and care results to the care team.
• Reinforces patient and family education.
• Coordinates additional patient care services as needed.
• Documents patient data accurately at each shift.
