Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is hiring a Full-time LPN Inpatient in the Comprehensive Medical Unit. You will work under the direction of a registered nurse or physician to support patient care delivery and coordination in the inpatient setting.

The role emphasizes nursing process involvement, education, and medication administration to ensure safe, high-quality care. A VA LPN license and BLS-HCP are required, with de-escalation training within 4 months of hire for psychiatry/behavioral health

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification is required.
• De-escalation training within 4 months of hire for Psychiatry/Behavioral Health roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical nursing care under RN/physician direction.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver safe, patient-centered inpatient care.
• Participate in nursing process: data collection, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Educate patients and families as part of care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
