Job summary

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA seeks a full-time LPN inpatient for the Emergency Department, nights, and every other weekend. The LPN provides nursing care under RN/physician direction, collecting data, planning, and implementing care.

You will collaborate with RNs, communicate with the care team, and participate in education and care planning while following clinical policies. Licensing in VA is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Licensed to practice practical nursing in Virginia.
• Experience: none required; de-escalation training within four months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the RN to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Participate in nursing process for inpatients of all ages.
• Communicate with team members, departments, and physicians.
• Contribute to care plans, education, and documentation.
• Administer prescribed medications and support patient rights.
