Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Per Diem Clinical Social Worker-LCSW in the Social Work department to assess and intervene with high-risk patients and families. The role includes psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and education with patients and families.

You will collaborate with a wide range of social, governmental, and healthcare partners to ensure patient-centered care and maintain professional standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Active Massachusetts Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW).
• Knowledge of social work process and community resources.
• Ability to work on an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and families to identify emotional and social problems.
• Develop and implement psychosocial treatment plans.
• Provide psychotherapy and psychosocial support weekly or as needed.
• Coordinate with social services, courts, schools, and hospitals.
• Supervise and mentor MSW/BSW students as assigned.
