Job summary

University Health in Texas is seeking a hospitalist to provide evidence-based, holistic inpatient care in collaboration with physicians and the health-care team. You will manage the care of inpatients with complex acute problems and help ensure smooth transitions from admission through discharge to the primary care provider, with appropriate referrals as needed.

Applicants must have completed an ACGME-approved residency and be board-certified or eligible, with board certification pursued per UMA

Qualifications

• Must have completed training in an ACGME approved and accredited residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility is required.
• Must obtain board certification in accordance with UMA and University Health Medical-Dental Staff bylaws.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, holistic inpatient care in collaboration with physicians.
• Manage care of inpatients with complex acute health problems.
• Facilitate admission-to-discharge care transitions and referrals to primary care.
