Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (education verified).
• License to practice pharmacy in the state and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
• Preferred: Board Certification and Health System Residency

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication orders for allergies, interactions, and therapy appropriateness; ensures safe, effective, and cost-conscious therapies.
• Oversees delivery of medications to care areas; ensures secure storage and workflow efficiency.
• Provides patient counseling and promotes adherence and education.
• Completes regulatory training and complies with laws, policies, and SOPs.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and staff; offers clinical guidance to health professionals.
• Addresses equipment, staffing, and drug availability issues impacting patient care.
• Identifies process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
• Supports clinic, hospital, and system directives and leadership initiatives.
