Job summary

Aultman Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for inpatient Gastroenterology at Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH. This full-time role covers day and evening shifts, 7a-7p, with alternating weekends and holidays, within a collaborative GI service.

The APP will evaluate and manage acutely ill GI patients, coordinate endoscopic procedures with GI physicians, and support transitions of care while delivering education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Licensed as APRN or PA in Ohio.
• Minimum one year of acute-care experience.
• Inpatient GI/hepatology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides inpatient gastroenterology consultation and management for hospitalized patients.
• Collaborates with gastroenterology physicians regarding procedures and escalation.
• Performs comprehensive history, exam and plan within scope of practice.
• Educates patients and families about GI diagnoses and treatments.

Education

Ohio APRN/PA license

Acute care experience
