Advocate Health is hiring a Physician Assistant for the High Point Main - Cardiology department. This full-time role requires graduation from an accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and a current state Medical License.

Responsabilités

• Determine patient care plan using medical decision-making.
• Collaborate with medical team for team-based care.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients.
• Perform department procedures per guidelines.
• Participate in basic science and clinical research projects.
• Precept students/medical learners when possible.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
2. Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
3. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
4. Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines
5. Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects
6. Potential for and encouraged to precept students and/or medical learners

8. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
