Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care for patients at the Memphis, TN location. You will develop and monitor medical nutrition therapy plans and work closely with medical staff and the food service team to ensure accurate nutrition care delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and adherence to the nutrition care manual, with ongoing professional development and state licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR).
• One year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nutritional care to patients with Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff, patients, families and food service to implement care plans.
• Perform nutritional assessments, re-assessments and monitor progress.
• Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens.
• Educate and coordinate with therapy teams to ensure safe dietary progression.
• Review orders for consistency with nutrition support formulary and diet manual.
• Consider religious, cultural and ethnic factors in care plans.
• Stay current with nutritional practices and complete ongoing professional development.
• Evaluate potential food/drug and herb interactions, and participate in team meetings.
