Job summary

Aramark Healthcare+ seeks a Full-Time Inpatient Dietitian at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest in Waco, TX. This role includes relocation assistance and opportunities to advance clinically within a Level II Trauma Center.

You will assess nutritional needs, develop plans, educate patients, and collaborate with the care team to improve patient outcomes. Eligible RD candidates with Texas licensure or eligibility encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification or RD eligible.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Licensed Dietitian status in Texas or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Passion for improving patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's nutritional status and develop individualized nutrition plans based on their medical history, current health status, and specific needs.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care.
• Monitor patients' progress and make modifications to their nutrition plans as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition.

About the Hospital: Hillcrest Hospital is a 260-bed healthcare facility and is part of the Baylor Scott & White Health System. It is a Level II Trauma Center and has a Level III NICU, two intensive care units and an inpatient rehab. Hillcrest offers a range of medical specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and more, and has a strong commitment to providing community outreach and education. At this location, clinical dietitians can cover multiple medical units and explore their clinical interests. It's a great location to find your clinical specialty area and pursue an advanced practice credential.
