Job summary

Life Help is seeking a Social Worker for a 16-bed inpatient crisis unit in Grenada, MS. The incumbent will coordinate discharge planning, assist admissions, provide psycho-educational experiences, and liaise with families, providers, and treatment teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and current Mississippi Social Work Licensure. Valid MS driver’s license is expected. Position is day shift, full-time, with opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is required and licensure must be current.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute discharge plans.
• Assist in the admission process.
• Provide psycho-educational experiences.
• Communicate with support systems (families, friends, group homes).
• Communicate with providers.
• Coordinate placement.
• Serve on treatment team.
• Collect and submit Medicaid prior approval information.
• Maintain documentation.
