Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Central Regional Hospital is seeking a Creative/Expressive Arts Therapist (S) to provide art or music therapy and other therapy groups for patients of all ages. The role involves both group and individual therapy and supervision of interns or volunteers as needed.

Reporting to the PST Psychology/Social Work/Creative Arts Supervisor, the position focuses on evidence-based treatment components and collaboration with treatment teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy including a six month internship.
• Alternate degrees with equivalency and internship accepted.
• Two years of experience in therapeutic programming in expressive arts.

Responsibilities

• Provide art or music therapy and group/individual sessions.
• Supervise students and volunteers during group treatments.
• Liaise with patient care units and participate in treatment planning.
• Enroll patients in recommended groups and ensure clinical standards.

Bachelor’s degree in music therapy with internship
