Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our inpatient hospitalist team at Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. The CNM will work in labor and delivery, postpartum, and triage within a Level III perinatal NICU facility, supporting high-acuity cases and collaboration with residents and attending physicians.

This is a 0.9 FTE, in-person position with three 12-hour shifts weekly.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a specialized area of nursing.
• Active IL RN license and APN license required.
• APN certification and CNM certification through a national board.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care with advanced clinical expertise.
• Diagnose and manage high-risk obstetric conditions within CNM scope.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Develop education strategies for patients, families, and staff.
