UNC Health Appalachian is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. The CNA will support licensed nurses, prepare patients and equipment, and provide direct patient care in an inpatient setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, NC CNA license, and BLS certification. Experience preferred but not required; benefits and shift differentials are offered, with a schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and NC CNA licensure.
• Successful completion of accredited CNA program licensed in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff with patient care and comfort.
• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Record and report vital signs and patient information accurately.
• Provide activities of daily living support and personal care.
