Job summary

RiverView Health in Crookston, MN is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our inpatient team. You will assist with ADLs, monitor patients, document observations, and support nursing staff on the Hospital Inpatient Unit (IPU).

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, safety, infection control, and teamwork. Qualifications include MN CNA certification and BLS; prior hospital experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification in Minnesota.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and feeding.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and other basic clinical data in the electronic medical record.
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition or behavior to the RN.
• Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, use of assistive devices, and prevention of falls.
• Maintain patient hygiene, room cleanliness, and infection control standards.
• Assist with transporting patients to procedures, departments, or discharge locations.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs in a timely and courteous manner.
• Set up equipment and supplies for patient care and assist nursing staff with procedures as needed.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and healing environment by following hospital policies and demonstrating professional behavior.
• Participate in shift reports, team meetings, and continuing education as required.
