Job summary

Downtown Evansville Inc is seeking an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to join the hospital pharmacy team. You will provide direct clinical services and support pharmacy operations to ensure safe, effective medication use across hospital settings.

After training, you will split time between clinical care and operations, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize therapy and promote safety.

Qualifications

• BSPharm or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Licensed or eligible for Indiana and Kentucky licensure
• Licensure obtainable within 45 days of employment
• Strong clinical judgment and evidence-based patient care
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous learning

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for assigned patient care areas
• Review medication orders for safe, accurate and appropriate therapy
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with healthcare teams
• Complete pharmacotherapy consults and provide recommendations
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapies and treatment plans
• Respond to code blue and other clinical emergencies as needed
• Perform medication chart reviews to identify opportunities for optimization
• Support operations through order verification, drug distribution and IV room checks
• Provide oversight to pharmacy technicians daily
• Contribute to safety, quality improvement and committee initiatives
• Precept and mentor student pharmacists
