Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in the state of practice is required.
• Graduate of school of pharmacy is required.
• PharmD degree is preferred.
• One year's technical experience is preferred.
• Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes, enters, verifies, and distributes medication orders in a timely manner and in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Conducts daily reports on medication utilization to identify areas for improvement and ensures quality assurance.
• Participates in clinical rounds, unit-based medication management activities, and remote order verification as needed.
• Assists in purchasing, contracting, and procuring medications to ensure safety and cost effectiveness.
• Makes recommendations on process improvements or new pharmacy services.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of school of pharmacy

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

One year's technical experience

Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
