Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacist in Rhode Island or eligible for licensure.
• Completion of or eligibility for BLS/ACLS certifications within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and review medication orders for safety and therapeutic appropriateness.
• Provide drug information and consult with prescribers, nurses, and other health professionals.
• Supervise pharmacy interns and technicians to ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Participate in pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring as needed.
• Document interventions, medication errors, and adverse drug events per protocols.
• Contribute to quality improvement and transitions of care initiatives.
