Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a registered dietitian to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to inpatients across a range of conditions. You will assess nutritional status, develop care plans, and document findings in the medical record while collaborating with the care team.

The role requires strong clinical nutrition knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to present at journal clubs as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition Science with an accredited dietetic internship.
• Master’s degree required if completed after Jan 1 2024.
• 1–2 years of general clinical nutrition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients.
• Consult with physicians on nutrition plans and dietary needs.
• Develop nutrition assessment and follow-up plans for at-risk patients.
• Participate in rounds and interdepartmental meetings.
• Cross-cover in Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics as needed.
• Maintain credentials and participate in ongoing professional development.
