MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Maryland is seeking a registered dietitian to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to inpatients with diverse conditions. You will perform malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused exams, and diet education, collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The role requires RD credentials, DC licensure within 90 days, and 1-2 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

1-2 years of general clinical nutrition experience preferred.
B.S. in Food & Nutrition Science with accredited internship required.
Master's degree completed after Jan 1, 2024 is required.
Registration as a Dietitian (RD) within 90 days and state licensure in DC within 90 days.

Responsabilités

Consult with physicians and allied professionals on patients’ nutritional status and diet plans.
Develop and document nutrition assessment, evaluation, and follow-up plans for at-risk patients.
Participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary meetings; relay information to staff.
Provide nutrition education to inpatients and outpatients; support self-management.
Cross-cover multiple areas including Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics as needed.
Maintain ongoing professional development and comply with licensure requirements.
