Job summary

Indiana University Health System seeks an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian for our new Fort Wayne hospital. The role includes on-call rotations every other weekend and some holidays, delivering comprehensive nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and is registered with CDR, with Indiana licensure targeted within the first year.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in dietetics or related field is required, or a Bachelor's degree before 2024.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration should be obtained within 6 months.
  • Indiana state licensure must be obtained within 1 year.
  • Ability to develop nutrition care plans and provide education.
  • Competence in nutrition-focused physical exams and malnutrition documentation.

Responsibilities

  • P r o v i d e s o p t i m a l n u t r i t i o n c a r e f o r i n p a t i e n t s a n d o u t p a t i e n t s.
  • Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to tailor nutrition education.

Education

Master's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition
Registration by CDR within 6 months
Indiana RD licensure within 1 year
Ability to develop nutrition care plans
Nutrition-focused physical exam competency
Malnutrition documentation competency
