Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in the United States is seeking an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian to provide high-quality nutrition education and clinical services within established guidelines. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, develop meal plans tailored to patient needs, and participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in health education services and/or hospital settings.
• Bachelor's degree in Food/Nutrition or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) required; RD must be achieved within six months of hire per California law.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality, evidence-based medical nutrition therapy including screening, assessment, care planning and education.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding nutrition and health in individual or group settings.
• Develops, implements and monitors nutrition care plans with follow-up and referrals as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance activities and reports.
• Plans, conducts and evaluates in-service education for department staff and care teams.
