Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
Licensed in the state in which the facility operates.
Board certification in psychiatry.
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations and facility policy.
Review patient information to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment using psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Document and maintain care plans and billing information accurately and timely.
Maintain confidential documentation and comply with policy and procedures.
