Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Cardiology Acute Care NP or PA for the Inpatient General Cardiology Service at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The role involves 24/7 coverage with 14 APPs, triaging new inpatient consults and admissions, and coordinating diagnostic tests under cardiology supervision.

Care is provided in a large quaternary center with rotating weekends/holidays and swing shift hours (4pm–3am).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program; North Carolina NP or PA license; prescriptive privileges and DEA license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; at least one year of provider experience required
• Preferred: Cardiology experience or subspecialty training

Responsibilities

• Triage and perform new inpatient consults and admissions autonomously
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat all cardiac conditions
• Order diagnostic and laboratory studies; coordinate transfers
• Collaborate with cardiology team while maintaining autonomous assessment and plans
• Staff new consults and after-hour admissions
