Job summary

ODMHSAS's Children’s Recovery Center of Oklahoma (CRC) in Norman, OK, seeks a Mental Health Technician to support inpatient behavioral health treatment under supervision. You will provide direct and indirect care, help create a safe environment, and model positive coping for youth.

The role offers 8-hour evening and night shifts, non-exempt status, and competitive benefits with shift differentials and extra pay for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• No experience or education required for MHT I.
• One year of behavioral health care experience for MHT II.
• Two years of behavioral health care experience for MHT III.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients in a behavioral health setting.
• Participate in de-escalation to keep patients safe and meet needs.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and coping skills as a role model.
• Assist with recreational and therapeutic activities to promote well-being.
