Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry unit. You will support a safe, therapeutic environment under RN supervision, assist with admissions, and help orient new patients and families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, confidentiality, and patient-centered care, with dayshift hours and 0.9 FTE. A High School Diploma or GED and BLS CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience in psychiatric or related field preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of psychiatric patient care and milieu management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers and documentation.
• Obtain vital signs for adults across age groups.
• Collect laboratory specimens as directed by RN staff.
• Transport patients and items using hospital systems as needed.
• Identify abnormal findings and report to the RN promptly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety policies.
• Support therapeutic environment and interactions on the unit.
