Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health for our Psychiatric ICU in Vallejo, CA. This evening shift role spans 5 eight-hour shifts with weekends every other. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to support patients with mental health challenges and discharge planning.

Required: California RN license, BLS/CPR, and 1 year of psychiatric nursing. CPI certification may be obtained onsite.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate psychiatric nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and healthcare teams.
• Support patients and families through education and therapeutic communication.
• Maintain a safe, healing, and structured environment.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing support staff.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives.
• Utilize critical thinking and independent clinical judgment daily.
