Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA seeks a part-time Staff Nurse for Inpatient Behavioral Health. Under supervision, you will assess patients, plan and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, administer medications, and support discharge planning in a demanding behavioral health setting.

You must hold an Iowa RN license, have BLS, and be prepared to participate in the Nurse Residency program if you have less than one year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license recognized by the State of Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Nurse residency program for staff with less than one year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and collect ongoing data for care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor effectiveness.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
