Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.

You will coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and respond quickly to changes in condition, while promoting a safe, therapeutic environment aligned with Hartford HealthCare values. The role requires CT RN licensure, CPR certification, and PMT/de-escalation training with completion within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire and maintain clinical competency.
• Must be trained in PMT and de-escalation techniques and receive certification within 6 months of hire into the role.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of the patient's condition and care needs.
• Assess and reassess pain. Utilizes pain management tools and educates patient and family.
• Develops and revises individualized treatment plans and evaluates outcomes.
• Follows the five medication rights and reduces potential for medication errors.
• Maintains patient safety and contributes to positive outcomes.
• Documents the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
