Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the inpatient behavioral health unit. This 0.9 FTE, 36-hour-per-week role includes 0700-1930 shifts with rotating holidays and weekends, providing comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adults with a wide range of diagnoses.

Requirements include completing an accredited nursing program, an IL RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• CPI deescalation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and positive experiences.
• Administer medications, document care, participate in care planning, communicate with patients.
